Exploring Humanities GIS - GIS Day 2021, Statistics Canada

Using the example of the Mapping Queer Dallas StoryMaps project, this presentation will explore some of the intricacies and complications of mapping humanities data, including: making humanities geographies machine-readable; how to appropriately visualize humanities data; and how to choose a platform, with particular emphasis on StoryMaps.
