The only problem with this is that it seems that only talented artists with stable financial resources and with stable lives, eg stable families, etc, seem to be able to make it, but talented artists who don’t have this seem more likely to struggle to maintain a consistency for obvious reasons and so you’ll never hear of them… That’s how it seems if you look at the top artists today, think of Benson Boone, etc, people with a very stable life. Correct me if I’m wrong or there are indeed also disadvantaged artists who make it to the top these days, and I’d love to know their names…

Useful advice to start with, but I'd say the biggest hurdle is; too many people have access to put their music out there and it gets lost in the pollution of sound. The solution in part is to play live, play the open mics, universities, talent shows, organise a live event on your social media platform. Get your music noticed. Collaborate with other like minded artists and create a scene where fans can be part of. And if you're a producer then do what most dance acts did in the 90s- get someone else to front your act.

Well I don’t agree with the undenial quality of the music is prior to succeed no matter the marketing that’s thrown into it. Look at daft punk, their music is very poor compared to the electronic music standards and they did succeed because of the hidden connection they had in the music industry + the most arrogant marketing with planned rarity and really no connection to their public.
