The PHOIBOS LEVIATHAN Bronze PY027B 500M LE is a beautiful diving watch with an impressive NH38 movement inside, which is visible through the open heart at 9 o'clock. The most obvious perk of the watch is the material: it's entirely made from solid CuSn8 bronze. Bronze has the great attribute that it builds up a layer of patina. This is an ongoing process which makes every watch unique. Discolouration is normal with this material. One major benefit is that you can largely bring back your watch in the original condition by using a Cape Cod cloth.

As the name suggests, the inspiration for this collection is Leviathan, a huge sea monster in ancient mythology. Leviathan can also be immensely useful as a general term meaning "something monstrous or of enormous size." This meaning is reflected in the large case dimensions, as the watch has a 45mm width and 54mm lug to lug size. In other words, it has serious wrist presence!

It hosts a stunning textured dial, which fades from black at the edges into a gorgeous blue in the centre. With its 500m water resistance and anti-reflective sapphire crystal, you can rely on the watch's robustness. It also comes on a comfortable blue leather strap, but can be swapped out for a rubber strap which comes along with the package if rubber is preferred.
