Migrating Large Enterprise Angular JS Codebases to Angular by Christian Kohler

Since the introduction of Angular 2 at ng-europe in 2014, developers have been migrating from AngularJs 1.x.

We migrated a large AngularJS codebase for an enterprise application and I want to share with you what we've learned on the way. This talk is about different migration paths, a gradual upgrade strategy and roadblocks we had to clear.

In the end, you will learn how to prepare your app for a pain-free migration and how to gradually upgrade it to Angular.

I'm in the process of migrating. Managed to make the AngularJS-App run with Angular-CLI, but migrating uirouter is a pain in the a..., cause all examples I found so far are completely different from the documentation...

Its funny that you say "Bottom up" is rare and "Top Down is better." Matt Weimer suggests bottom up in his migration guide-video... Like first migrating services and bottom components which you easily can downgrade to use them in AngularJS, but the other way (upgrading AngularJS-Stuff to be available in Angular) is supposed to be a PITA...
