Ask Ornstein - brought to you by The Athletic...

Welcome to the second episode of Ask Ornstein. This is a brand new show where David Ornstein - The Athletic's Football correspondent - will be answering questions from fans and subscribers. We’ll be prioritising questions from The Athletic subscribers, so make sure you subscribe and submit your questions through The Athletic app on the comment section of his column every Monday.

On the agenda this week:
- How does Mason Mount's brilliant form this season affect Chelsea's attacking recruitment drive, namely the pursuit of Kai Havertz?
- Do Arsenal have to sell to buy this summer, or is their setup a 'smokescreen' like last summer when they completed a club-record deal for Nicolas Pepe?
- Which players from the three relegated clubs - Norwich, Watford and Bournemouth - are attracting the most interest from other Premier League sides?

Nathan Ake - homegrown, proven Premier League player with a good pace and technical skills and with also international experience. He is probably the best player from the three relegated teams.

All I know is, Arsenal has a great coach every player would want to work with if the ambition is to be the best. From that, am excited about Arsenal young players plus possible inclusions. Arsenal will get better with the attitude he is instilling in the players. #coyg.

I agree. Chelsea will play in four competitions and they have to have a huge squad to compete on all fronts.

Chelsea have a great transfer team and have made great signings. Whoever is in charge of transfers there does a great job. (Arsenal fan)

It is called squad depth cos the season will be 50-60 games long, Havertz & Mount will both rotate next season & get enough game time 👍

Julian Brandt and Havertz had an amazing chemistry. Brandt in 2018/19 played a similar role to Mount. Can certainly see them playing as two 8s with Kanté for protection.

Havertz and Mount will likely play as the two 8s with Kante behind. Similar to what Frank did post restart before Kante was injured where he played Mount and Barkley with Kante behind.

I'm surprised Arsenal might be trying to sell Holding. He's one of our better defenders and is still very young with a lot of potential.
