This video deals with
1. Low angle grain boundaries (LAGB) and high angle grain boundaries (HAGB)
2. Pure tilt and pure twist boundaries
3. Edge dislocation model for symmetric tilt LAGB
4. Boundary energy with the angle of misorientation
5. Concept of geometrically necessary dislocations (GNDs) and statistically stored dislocations (SSDs)

Very nice explanation. I have a doubt at 5:38 . Why 2 before "sin theta/2"

Great lecture, sir, is there any lectures for pure twist GBs? Following what you said in this lecture, pure twist GBs are formed via screw dislocations. I want to know if GNDs can be subdivided into edge and screw dislocations? If so, how can we divide them? And is there any lecture talking about Nye's dislocation tensor?
