I find that your new alternative Y-Perm has a very speedy inverse: -- F (U R U' R') F (R U' R' U) (R U R2') (F' R F') -- I prefer this inverted version over its forward version because it has a few faster triggers in it. ;-)

It's worth noting that this is just a 5 move setup to normal Y-perm, then undo setup.
F R' F R F' (F R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R F') F R' F' R F'
= F R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' F'

I might use this if I can find a good way to execute the F R' F, and execute an AUF

The Y perm I use has some very cool finger tricks, check it out, R2 U' R2' U' R2 U R' F' R U R2' U' R' F R. I place my Middle finger on the UR sticker and my Thumb on the BR for the R2 moves and don't let go for the whole alg.

I've posted about this on the speedsolving forum a while ago, but it was already on algdb so it wasn't really new, it's nice but I'm sticking with the standard alg (my best time for it is 1.14) ever since I started doing the last F' with my left index finger

Try R' U' R U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R2 U R. Incredible fast and I haven't heard of this from anywhere

I found this by myself a few months ago. Up until this point I thought I was the only one who knew about it.

I am switching to this right now, you saved me. I just don't like the standard y perm.

Now I cringe at the standard Y perm alg
