Rabies is a viral disease that spreads through dog bites and is a deadly virus. One should immediately wash the bitten area under a running tap for 10 to 15 minutes without rubbing it and visit an emergency department for an anti-rabies vaccine and immune globulin. It can be prevented if treated early.

Hello Sir, There is a stray puppy who is not well and is not able to open his mouth, drooling a alot. Not sure if its rabies or not but he is not vaccinated. I was taking him to vet and another stray dog attacked us, during this i got a little scratch on my hand. Not sure who did it - the pup who is unwell or the other dog who attacked. But there was a little blood on my scratched area. Since the puppy was drooling alot, i am worried that his saliva might have touched my wound. Its been 2 hours now, Can i take the post-bite vaccine shots tomorrow
