Pickling the first batch of hot chilli peppers with a very simple recipe that I found on the internet and something that I think you will find very interesting that is happening out at the cabin with the Mason Bee house and my grafted Asian Pear tree.

Very nice peppers and good looking recipe! We're still slacking a bit when it comes to preserving, though we dry a lot of peppers in our dehydrator.

I'll have no problems preserving peppers this year because I have none.  Your's look lovely.  A wee slicing tip I learned from a chef, instead of cutting the top off a chilli and then slicing towards the bottom, hold the stem bit and slice from the bottom to the top.  It keeps fingers safe and you don't get chilli oil on your fingers.
Best Wishes, Brendan.

That's a nice recipe. I used one that was probably 90% the same the last two years and mixed several types of hot peppers in each jar (including a few wax beans mixed in). They tasted very good in the end. I don't think you can go wrong with that method.

your pickled peppers look very good Dale. I am not much for hot things but I think I would try them. I like any thing pickled, great video keep them coming.

Nice peppers and recipe Dale! I always wear gloves to process hot peppers mainly because I have an allergic reaction to them that last for days!!! Still waiting for mine to ripen, I'll put row cover on them if it gets too cold.

Good post Dale. I would like to do more preserving. I am thinking those bees are doing more good than harm around your garden;-)

Yes! Here come the recipes. I was wondering what would become of the veggies this season. Have you ever tried pepper jelly? It is good on sandwiches, etc.

Really interesting. I didn't know bees cut leaves to build their nests or eat? Will those bees make honey for you? Loved all your beautiful fresh peppers. I hope to try pickling this year.

I didn't have gloves when I did mine this week. It burns. FYI, There are other areas you don't want to touch your hands to after cutting peppers. I put sugar in 1/2 of mine-curious to see the difference. Hot sauce, eh? I do have a ghost pepper plant foisted on me to use up! LOL

Home canned pickled peppers are far better than anything you can get in a store.

Lot of seeds in those peppers.  Let us know if they have a lot of heat.  Might try this easy recipe.

Thanks for sharing Dale Pick A Peck of Pickled Peppers.  Do you know if the Asian Pear is a Nashi Pear, Dale?
