These men have seen the gates of hell and somehow kept their sanity. God bless them for their service.

My aunt and cousin died in Dachau. This is not the sort of video one can "Like" in the conventional sense, but I am fervently pressing " Like" because I am deeply grateful to you for bringing this to viewers' attention. A lot of Americans don't know anything about the Holocaust or deny it ever happened.

There have been many who have doubted the scale of atrocities seen in these camps & why it's so important that these eyewitness accounts have been documented! Thank you to all that have served!

I'm so glad they are making these testimonies of people who were there in person to preserve for history

If the depression didn't get you the war made shure that your life was forever altered, I'm proud to have been raised by these remarkable folks and I miss them terribly 🙏

Thank you Mr. Lukens for telling us what you saw when you liberated that camp. I can see that it still upsets you after all these decades, but it’s needed so that we know. I respect you tremendously for this and thank you for your service, and sacrifice. I hope you’ve found peace, love, and happiness since your return. ❤

I visited Dachau a month ago, it left me feeling empty and shocked. I asked other tourists how they felt visiting this place and they said it's important to remember! I agree.
Alan visited whilst it was still active. It would be a place hard to forget.
My greatest respect to you, sir, and very best wishes!
Love from Australia! ❤❤

I have toured Dachau. It is by far the most somber and eerie place I have ever walked.

I toured Dachau in the late 90s. I was a young man in my 20s at the time. I appreciated the tour and it hit home, but now that I know more of the history and have watched many other interviews such as this one, I would appreciate it much, much more. If we don't descend into WWIII, I want to visit Europe again and go to more historical sites such as this one

Clearly it’s man’s inhumanity to man. Am blessed and I thank veterans all over. I think we need to start getting along and love each other
