Top 10 Premiere Pro Keyboard Shortcuts - Basic Tutorial

These keyboard shortcuts are essential when working with Adobe Premiere Pro and will greatly improve your efficiency and help you optimise your editing workflow! If you are on a Mac, just remember CTRL = COMMAND and ALT = OPTION

Navigation: (SHIFT) + LEFT / RIGHT / UP / DOWN

Editing Tools: V, (SHIFT) + A, B, N, R, C, Y, U, P, H, Zoom

Unselect All: CTRL + SHIFT + A

Nudge Clip: (SHIFT) + ALT + LEFT / RIGHT

Add Edit (Cut): (SHIFT) + CTRL + K

Extend Previous / Next Edit to Playhead: SHIFT + Q / W

Link / Unlink: CTRL + L

Add Default Transition: CTRL + D

Speed & Duration Settings: CTRL + R

Mark In / Out: I / O

Mark Clip: X

Export Media: CTRL + M

I will like to add something.
On the transition short cut ( CTRL+ D ) if you don't have your sequence line close to the spot where you want the transition, the short cut is not working.
So 1st move the sequence line close and then use CTRL+D

for the audio track use CTRL+SHIFT+D

Great Vid...not sure if it's been asked before, but is there a shortcut to select a section of your timeline from the current position of the play head back (left) to the last cut point and then delete it from the timeline?
Currently I am having to put in a cut point in (at current play head position, using Shortcut: C), then changing to the Selection Shortcut V and selecting the clip (with mouse) and then pressing Shift-Delete to remove it.
As you can see, it's a pain and this slows down my editing!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
