Acton Stations! Yes, there are now SEVEN station on the London Underground map, split over four different lines and i've always wondered ...what's the fastest time it would take me to get round all seven? Only one way to find out!

NOTE: Video mainly filmed in Dutch-Tilt-O-Vision (T)

You just need to apply Newton’s third law of train motion. For every Acton, there’s an equal and opposite re-Acton.

This is a Acton Packed video. It has been enjoyable to watch, makes me think if there any other places you could do a challenge like this. Also on a side note tube related. Finally got back on the London Underground this weekend just gone and it felt awesome, Brilliant video Geoff.

Imagine doing all the stations with the word "park" in them

Appreciations from this Acton resident. For a real challenge you could add this stations are on Acton’s boundaries (and even inside Acton wards) but lack the Acton name: Ealing common, Chiswick park, Turnham Green and Park Royal.

There is a photo of East Acton in 1920 surrounded by open fields in Oliver Green’s wonderful book: London’s Underground ( page 107). Thanks for another great video Geoff.

Many years ago there used to be a shuttle train between South Acton and Acton Town, which would have been handy for these sorts of challenges.

pity, one race I always wondered about was Jubilee/Thameslink between West Hampstead to London Bridge.

Did this today, didn't break the hour but enjoyed it. Started at East Acton 11.42, arrived at North Acton at 11.44, West Acton at 11.47 . Walked to North Ealing, on train at 12.04 arrived Acton Town 12.08. Walked to Sth Acton, on train at 12.28, arrived Acton Central 12.30. Walked to Acton Main Line, arriving at 12.45, so 1 hour 3 minutes, but train leaving at 12.54, so 1 hour 12 minutes total.

Always check before you travel 😉

We once had a chap turn up at Brigg station on a Tuesday, next train was Saturday morning 😳

Now this was funny! You didn’t do your homework! 😂😂😂 You should have done it in conjunction with Runderground Matt…. He’d have thrashed it.

Geoff, it looks like Acton Main Line is closer to Acton Central than West Acton. Id therefore go East Acton to Ealing Broadway, back to Main Line, walk to Central, down to South and then walt to Town.

Although you did not get out at East Acton, you did not need to really as it was the last station of the seven, and the train did slow down to pass it, so I think your original time counts. PS all the purple trains on the West are now 9 cars long, In the East its still a mix.

Take another run at it in January to get a better time when the station is open.

Well done Geoff. I reckon you should take the 57 minutes. Who said you had to get out at East Action? After all there were others you didn't get out at! By the way, here's a challenge for you: the fastest trip to ALL Ruislip stations using the Underground only - no walking or buses. You'd be hard-pushed to do that in under an hour. Thanks for all your videos.

Just curious ... is it possible to get to all 7 Acton stations by train only, no walking (other than between trains at stations)? If so, I'm sure it would take longer but would be interesting.

Who knew Acton could be so interesting.

But but... If you don't have to get out at each station, you did it all in 57 minutes.
I'm happy with that result.

And people trying this after you, they simply need to start at East Acton right now...
