To make sure coconut crabs are actually the real ones you need them to be in a island filled with palm trees and coconuts. (btw not all coconut crabs eat coconuts) and coconut crabs dont wear shells, also real coconut crabs are way larger than hermit crabs or crabs or any type of crabs, (including kelp crabs and others) they have a shell-like design in their back which looks like a plating. Also two more facts is that a coconut crab can weigh up to 4 KL (9 LB), and it can measure up to 40 inches (1 meter long) almost the same size as a large trashcan. Also did you forget that coconut crabs can walk freely in any land but for hermit crabs they struggle to walk when they are outside their shell, thats why hermit crabs move their old shell closer to a new shell so that it would be easier to change shells without struggling to find one.
