Goodbye, Presets – The Archetype Process Film Emulation Profiles

Today we are talking about The Archetype Process film emulation profiles! I have been using these profiles over the past couple of months and absolutely love them. Although they are expensive and using them can feel overwhelming at first, I think they can be extremely useful for achieving a professional, timeless, consistent look.

I spent $120ish on a pack of about 8 presets and I *loved* them…until I got the R6 and the colors were wildly different. They just didn’t work as well anymore. Right after switching cameras, I got TAP profiles and I’m really liking them. I got them during a sale so I spent less than $200, and considering the variation you get vs what I paid for my old presets, it was a fair price to me. Really good explanation of how to apply them!

Eric’s Floberg’s presets have the DevelopX profile. So his stuff takes you out of Adobe which is good.

Make sure you check out The Film Grain action they sell too, Lightroom grain is terrible.

Does RNI not have a solution for grain profiles? Dehancer has grain with detailed control in highlights mids and shadows.

For the life of me i can't get these to work as when creating a tap preset lol.

RNI FIlms presets are way better, cuz Archetype works only for photos taken in ideal light conditions

the big problem is that you can't use a default color profile.
We can only use the default presets, but the settings are not reset to 0.
