I always like how idiots try to make this seem like Bo steamrolled Bosworth or something. They ran into each other, neither guy gave, and both went down. It was a 1 yard run, for crying out loud. Had that happened at midfield, you realize it would count as a tackle, right?

Bo Jackson was a great player, but he did not run over Bosworth on this play. Herschel Walker vs Bill Bates in college- that's running over someone.

Hardly a runover--bo was running full tilt and Boz was on a bad angle, but revisionists have their own viewpoint.

I agree with all you folks! Bo had so much momentum going forward, yet Boz still made the tackle. Bo did not "run over" Boz!!

This play is SO over hyped! Bo Jackson was phenomenal athlete, but people act like this is Earl Campbell running over Isiah Robertson of the Rams! A lot of it is people that no nothing about football, let alone playing linebacker. Bo's running north/south while Bosworth is pursuing east/west got hit and Jackson gained a damn yard but was still taken down. Just watch Earl Campbell running over Isiah Robertson of the Rams, that was a career defining run!

Uhhh, that was it??  I thought it was supposed to be some sort of tank running over a helpless mouse type thing.

This play is ridiculously over hyped. It was a good goal line run by Bo Jackson.

I remember a movie with Bosworth, he had a giant lizard pet.

Boz made the tackle, Bo got 2 yards on this play. Boz played the sideline, Bo stopped and cut and got his shoulders angled, still one helluva tackle by Boz, who has the SeaHawks 2nd leading tackler, and NFL All Rookie team. His bad shoulders hurt his career, otherwise the greatest LB to ever play in college.

encounters like this happen at the goal line all the time, Bo had a running start and used his speed and power to through Bosworth, but it's not like he flattened him or something.

If they're at the 5 yard line, this would've been, "The Boz solo tackles Bo for a two yard gain." 😆

BO had the angle on him no one was making that tackle, he did slow him down but it was a bad angle and the momentum was going Bo's way...

After talking a ton of smack, Boz got stood up and pushed back and Bo scored a TD on the play. That is the definition of getting run over.

The Boz was shuffling to the side and not to mention he has a shoulder injury.... I think he did a pretty good job.

I saw a lb tackle a 230 lbs elite running back in the open field.

Bo was moving straight forward, Boz was moving all sideways, and Boz ~still~ took Bo down. If it had happened a yard and a half further back it would have been Boz 1, Bo 0 and they'd still be talking about how Boz - and he did anyway - stopped Bo. No insult meant to Bo fans, he was one of the greatest. Boz was one of the greatest too.

I remember seeing this live and though Bo totally romped over Boz (because that's how I wanted it to be) but it was as good a hit as anyone could have made. Sometimes the dude is just gonna score.

How many linebackers would have stopped Bo in that play? This is unfair on Bosworth.

Ridiculous that people say that he ran over bosworth. It's a missed take that still brought no down and both players are in a very average and extremely common situation that occurs in NFL and american football period. If bosworth had taken the tackle at the waist he would have made more of an impact. Like him or not he bosworth was clearly a talented player that obviously became unhappy within himself and just couldn't put it together. It happens to lots of sports men and women. After watching his documentary I think he needed a unique way of coaching and relationship with his team and coaches as well as feeling very comfortable to extract his best. Some athletes can perform well in different teams and others only play well in an environment that they enjoy. Maybe if he had gone to the raiders he would have been able to
