Sohyang is such a powerhouse! Such an amazing vocalist. She’s a 42 year old Korean singer and cancer survivor who started out in gospel before crossing over into mainstream music so that she could, according to her, comfort and soothe as many people with her voice as possible. However, she has intentionally avoided worldwide fame. She’s been singing for 25 years now and she’s pretty well known in (and even outside) Korea for her incredible voice. I loved your reaction! And she has multiple amazing performances. I’d recommend “Arirang Alone, ” “Everyone, ” and “You Raise Me Up” (2018) next!

She is a great Korean gospel singer. There are many K-pop stars in Korea, but there are many other great singers as well besides idol groups like BTS, Black Pink. Among them, there is a world class singer named Sohyang. She is considered one of the best vocalists in the world by many vocal coaches and singers all over the world. 


I hope you listen to her song once again. She was originally a gospel singer, not a popular singer. She has pure, humble and beautiful mind. 

She never sing a song for the fame and the money. She said that She always want to sing a song to heal and comfort wounded many peoples mentally, physically.

I'm a Buddhist but truly love her beautiful soul and respect her sincere faith in God. She looks like an angel. She always touches my heart and makes me cry through her so emotional song. It's just amazing and breathtaking. I'll always love her forever.

So glad you finally made your acquaintance with Sohyang, my favorite singer in the past 4 years, through this iconic cover of Bridge Over Troubled Water. Her singing can stir up your soul. With talented, she is also an impeccable master of vocal techniques. She is without a doubt among the best the world has to offer.
