Data management organises, stores, and maintains data created and collected.
Start by designing the data architecture that structures how data is organised to construct a data base management system.

Ensure raw data is held in the original form and available.

Build the process to analyse data and produce reports and dashboards. Consider using some of the many apps available as they offer cost effective solutions.

Ensure data is safe. If on the premises ensure that a backup is regularly taken and that it is stored in another location. Or use a cloud-based storage system.
Build in a process to ensure quality information is being delivered and poor-quality data is being filtered out.

Write out a data governance plan setting out policies and the usability, consistency, availability, integrity, and security of data managed.

Consider the storage of non-digital data such as documents.
