♫THUNDER LANDING (Super Contra, Arcade) SNES Arrangement - NintendoComplete

This is an arrangement of "Thunder Landing," the first stage BGM from Konami's 1988 arcade game Super Contra. I have arranged the song for native playback on SNES hardware, and the audio was recorded directly from a launch-model SNES deck.

This song was also in Super C (Probotector II: Return of the Evil Forces), the NES version of the game, but the arcade game's soundtrack is absolutely killer. That's what I based the arrangement on.

The orchestra hits sounds much less muffled than how Konami had them on SNES! That in and of itself is a massive achievement; Konami is really good with the SPC-700

Whenever I hear any SNES style music it warps me back to my childhood tv room: playing Super Nintendo, eating Fritos, and drinking spruce beer. Nice arrangement!

This is really similar to the level 1 theme from the NDS version of Contra.
