MIT.nano Seminar Series: Julia Greer

Julia Greer gave the December MIT.nano Seminar Series on "Materials by Design: Three-Dimensional (3D) Nano-Architected Meta-Materials." Greer is the Ruben and Donna Mettler Professor of Materials Science, Mechanics, and Medical Engineering; and Director of the Kavli Nanoscience Institute at the California Institute of Technology. Her talk focused on the creation of extremely strong and simultaneously ultra lightweight materials that can be achieved by incorporating architecture into material design.
