anybody who didn't already know this aren't paying attention. de-influencing commentators have already been saying this for years. everything is made cheaply wherever's cheapest for the company and then they 'finalize' it in a country like italy or something to make it seem high quality and luxurious. that's why designer is dumb.

Anyone who values the " brand " Is a mindless robot.

Im so grateful China is revealing the predatory market that Americans have popularized.

I hope people will start looking at their own local small manufacturers and support them and not buying from overseas.

Jordans are ugly and uncomfortable. Only reason why people buy it is because of the brand.

I am glad that luxury brands made "rich" people wait on artificial waiting lists for "luxury" goods for their own money. If that boosts their confidence. Strong people don't need a sounding brand logo to feel acomplished or enjoy quality things.

Didn’t everyone already know this. I mean I remembered Nike got exposed for using child labor in Africa before. It’s not uncommon for companies to use underpaid labor, for it’s cheaper that way.

I mean wasn’t there always the saying that when you buy a brand you’re buying the name not the actual product.

This is called price gouging and it’s dishonest business practice inflating prices. This is why I never ever shop at Nike, Prada, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, etc. Their designs aren’t even that great, always simple, dull and monochrome (black or white)….

Those are counterfeit bags—they hold no real value. Why wear fakes when there are so many beautiful and affordable options from brands like Zara or Massimo Dutti? There’s no need to pretend you can afford LV or Hermès. Confidence comes from authenticity, not labels

Most consumers will be suckers. What most people care about is brand names and don’t give a crap about sweatshops. This tariff is a start to reducing or possibly ending globalization. Most people are over consumers with more junk than the previous generation.

Not new news, smart people know that almost everything is like that

Remember, these 'mega-luxury brands' are in business for a profit and they are looking for the cheapest route to reach the highest profits; meaning if they can make a bag for $400 in china and sell it for $20, 000 they are NOT, and I repeat, are NOT, going to go have 'artisans' in countries that will charge these 'luxury brands' $6, 000 to make a purse or wallet that will cost them only $400 to make in china or korea...

Yeah.. You can get all the brand-name products at any China Town.😂😂😂

So why rich Chinese are still buying designer stuff like hermes, LV and Chanel in europe and in the Middle East? Why not just buy directly from the factories in China?

Knew it already. Branded things is made in where labor cost is cheaper like China and other countries.

Some of the famous clothing brands are made in Sri Lanka (the relevant country provides the raw materials, have no idea about that).

They're being tagged in the relevant countries with a high price tag.

(Sometimes the factory outlets sell damaged items with the brand logo scratches or removed - that probably is scammed by those who work within the factory or those who have contacts with someone at the factories - they probably snatch them before they are been destroyed. Some factory owners tracks them down and get them destroyed afterwards, but most are sold within the country market, most of the time)

If it was fully made in Europe it has to say “Product of” and not “Made in”

It just shows how utterly dumb the people dripping in designer labels are, the ones carrying £1000 handbags your stupid status symbols are a pile of rubbish
