To be honest, I never knew this game was by Steel Wool Studios. Hey, at least it looks good.

You didnt mess up anything, the red key was just an alternate way to get the crowbar to open up the outside pretty much, so theres just two crowbars and one of them will come back much later for easier key transport, game can get softlocked from a few little things but you did none of them, and dont forget about the magnifying glass guys tool to use more, and whatever you do, dont try getting a character thats restricted to one half of the house to the other, thats just plain a restart moment

And one last lil bit: if it seems insanly tedious, its probably not the answer, as someone who went through it the answers are never insanly long and needing trecks through a huge portion of the house for one solution

I have this game and the key didn't disappear. When you get caught by the neighbor he will always put the key on the rack.

12:27 I think that's the exact same engine start sound sample that was used for the SCars mod for Garry's Mod.
