To be honest I actually like both versions of deadpool, I love how they tried something different for the x-men origins version and it sets itself apart from the others in an interesting way, but the newer one from the deadpool movies is my favourite.

To be fair to x-men origins: wolverine, even though they made some terrible choices (swords in his arms and cyclops optical blast) the main point of hate was taking away his personality and ability to speak, which were all retconned by the after credits scene. At that point he was basically deadpool. Scarred, immortal, able to break the forth wall and able to teleport. I think if they would've carried on with the origins series it would've shown he lost his ability for optic blasts (because they took him out too early) and if he would've somehow lost his swords in his arms. He basically would've been a comic accurate deadpool. The only exception being his mutant teleportation powers, in comics it was technology that gifted him the ability to teleport

I feel like the Wolverine origins Deadpool shows his situation entirely. He didn’t have a say in anything, and it showed in his makeup that he couldn’t even talk in, but once he started Deadpool one, he had a huge say, and so his makeup was a lot more freeing

I loved the X-men version of Deadpool. It was awesome and then for him to go from not being able to talk to not shutting up and being quip was amazing. I think his introduction was perfect.
