Thanks for the information Jon.

Knowing these topics will still be profitable for anyone in IT. I still wish I could finish my MCSE before the cert retires. I know this is nearly impossible.

70-744 Securing Server 2016 for the MCSE. Thats what I have. Some great stuff in there. Any company not running LAPS is asking for it. The easy Hack the Box machines are kicking my ass, I feel like its day 1 in IT all over again. Not happy with Microsofts decision, the server exams should not be going away....

What is not mentioned is understood that for cybersecurity - a analyst has a lot on his/hers hand to be doing system admin, and what happens with future versions of MS win servers? how is a future sysadmin going to prove there skills to a perspective employer they know how to handle and configure a windows server? where do all of you who give advise about cybersecurity and the cloud imagine that every company is going to move to the cloud? there big companies who moved from the public cloud handled by (MS, amazon and google) and created there own clouds sometimes hybrid versions( some IT done in the private cloud, some on premise). Because in some cybersecurity chats, the cloud is not exactly 100% secure, it can be hacked which happening now, and major countries(think, china, Russia, N Korea etc) and bring it down if a conflict happens with the US. I for one would not like all my data handled by someone else and some companies are beginning to realize this. I believer Microsoft made a big mistake in eliminating those certs, they should have kept it and expand azure certs, not throw away something that employers really looked up to.

cloud won’t last long, vast majority of the company is moving their cloud back on premise
