Visual Processing and Dyslexia

Показать описание
Children with dyslexia have less brain activity underlying visual motion in area V5/MT compared to controls of the same age; however, this difference does not emerge when the dyslexics are compared to younger controls, matched on reading ability, and it increases following a reading intervention. We conclude that magnocellular visual system dysfunction is not causal to dyslexia. For more information, see Olulade et al., Neuron 79(1).

I hate people who keep telling me I have a disability... I am 74... at 30.. I figured out how to comprehend the written words... write... see the dots.... I write in thoughts... ended up with 2 degrees... the need to learn... how to teach... dyslexic the way a dyslexic learns

I love how people who study and describe dyslexia use verbiage that even an ordinary person couldn't understand. It's a beautiful display of the lack of self awareness that an individual can present.
