As Matt sets out on his “anti-racist” journey, he seeks guidance from a self-proclaimed expert in critical race theory and diversity consulting. Proud that his three-year-old daughter loves Moana, Matt can’t help but worry: is this cultural appropriation? After all, in the woke world, you’re racist if you do, and racist if you don’t.

Calling your child racist is wild. Calling your child racist because of her favorite Disney princess is deplorable, diabolical, and insane.

I hate these new “race rules” for kids. I’m black. As a kid I would ABSOLUTELY have picked Princess Jasmine, Belle or Pocahontas before I picked Tiana. Because their stories are more interesting to me! When kids pick their favorites they don’t look just at race, they pick based on the Princess’s adventures, her furry companions, her songs, her dress color! Sure maybe race is part of their choice but it isn’t the main choice!

The fact he's being sarcastic and she's not is sad.

"My daughter can't like Moana because that is cultural appropriation. But she can't like Snow White because that is racist. So really she just can't like anything..." So there is no correct answer. It is sad that this woman is so blinded that she doesn't see the problem...

She has no idea that he's playing her, and the self-loathing that she's dumping on children is sickening.

I love that Matt is making his point while simultaneously having her convinced that he's on her side. Absolute legend.

-Inherently?
-Inherently is challenging.
-Fundamentally.
-Yes!
-So inherently.

kids choosing gender = good ... kids choosing princesses = bad

Matt pointed out a clear inconsistency here. Her argument doesn't make sense unless her thesis is to hate yourself no matter the justification.

It's simple... These people are never happy. You can't win with them.

It's crazy that the irony is right in her face and she cannot see it

I'm a South American guy from Chile. I grew up watching TV series like The Powerpuff Girls, Totally Spies, Kim Possible, and playing video games like Tomb Raider and Metroid. As a kid, I was a huge fan of them, even though they were all girls and didn't look like me racially at all. Nowadays, I'm 27 years old and I've never experienced any kind of personal complex or issue related to my race/appearance or gender. I'm truly sorry for this new _"modern childhood"_ that some kids in the USA will have to face.

Why is her daughter only gravitating toward princesses and not princes? Was she not raised in a gender-neutral way? That's the real issue here!

My brown daughters are obsessed with Rapunzel and Frozen as well. These leftists work hard to destroy racial unity and cultural appreciation and togetherness.
