Anthony, I don't think George would appreciate you calling him "Filthy Frank Ocean"

cool review, but blaming Joji for the coronavirus because he’s asian was a bit over the top

all these singles that get good ratings will lead the album to a six; just keep this in mind

Ok saying "he is only good because my toenails are in his body" is not really called for

You can't call Joji "boy" like that. You know the painful history that connotation has for African Americans like him.

His videos really enhance the song. He’s always telling a story.

All we wanted was a review about the track Anthony, not ranting about how sushi isn't vegan

this might just be my personal interpretation of it but i dont think the chorus is literally about love, fantano. Its about him wanting to be remembered positively when he dies and not for the mistakes he made in the past. Thats what i get from it anyways

Giving George A not good because "He's the reason we're all inside" is extremely offensive, Anthony.

When will you listen to the song instead of some silly bassline melon?

i really liked the repetition in the chorus, it makes it feel like he is just lonely, putting himself in desperate need. Loved the track but yeah i agree the other two where better but i still really really liked it!

I almost feel like the whole song goes through what his sound has developed from over time. First half is that very lofi asthetic with lowkey vocals (but better then before on in tongues), the bridge acoustic part sounds like his singing off ballads 1, and the end is what his new sound and what hes trying to achieve.

he literally showed his progression as an artist in one song

Why can’t Joji say something simple like “Gimme love”? what do you want him to say melon? “give me the sensation of neural networks quantum entangled electromagnetic radiation”?

I never thought the Nolan classic “Interstellar” could be condensed into one song but here we are

Calling him the n word for 5 minutes straight isn’t a review

Anthony's channel deserves a "No Good" rating because he's still using light mode on iTunes/Music.

Chorus exists:
Anthony: It's a little too on the nose.

here's my devil's advocate take to defend the 'weaker' points of this track as meaningful... it's not about romantic love at all. it's about contradictorily seeking attention from the general public while trying to escape the same reasons you are given attention. it's about his youtube days and his transition to music and the pain associated with it.

the lines:
"Playin' my song into my sides
It hurts, I can't lie
Remember those times I fought to get out?
I want to get out"

reinforce this strongly. the cheesy, basic 'gimme gimme love' repetition is an ironic representation of pandering to the masses. i think a quick look at the lyrics, and joji's context as both an artist and internet figure show that there's more layers than a romantic love song here. i think the cheesiness is an attempt at post-irony, and when you look at it from that perspective, i think it works.

also fun note - 'Run' was in 3/4 and so is the second part of this song. just thought that was interesting considering he's been leaning more and more in a pop direction yet seems hesitant to go there without doing it in avant-garde fashion

edit: wow yeah, i haven't seen a single person suggest it's about anything other than romantic love and that seems like such a mistake in interpretation
