Love Ron's shoutout to Mr. Smith Goes To Washington. It's just as powerful a film today as it was in 1939. A Frank Capra/Jimmy Stewart masterpiece. Highly recommend it.

The thing about Ron Howard is that he comes off as a person—by which I mean that interviews with celebrities invariably end up being of Hollywood people. It changes them, not in a bad way necessarily, though certainly there is a lot of bad. Ron Howard comes off as if you’re hearing him talk about these movies while you’re sitting in a diner somewhere. The much disappearing "regular guy" — rare in the famous, but now that celebrity is common currency, just being a low key cool isn’t what it once was. I’m glad he still has it after being in Hollywood his entire life.

I love all these choices! I’ve seen Mr. Smith goes to Washington at least 10 times. Stewart is one of my all-time favorite actors. He reads the line like nobody else he didn’t go from beginning to end he chews on it in the middle.
