i never saw the method with the black stripe below his eyebrows. at first i thought it looked really wonky but as you highlighted over it it became more sublte and i looks really good in the end! I think i'll try this method and use a really dark fleshtone, i'm not brave enough for black on my first try :D Thanks for the video!

Eyes are why all my minis have full helmets or just dark squinty eye sockets 😁 I need some serious practice! Good vid bud 👍

Great tips mate, I always try to paint my eyes first, easy to clean up that way

It looks good, however I think the eyes do look like they're bleeding out a bit since you used more of a pure white for them so they look a bit too out there when realistically shadows would be hitting the eyes making them look more grey.

Thats a very useful and helpful tutorial Andy, and actually everyone can do this and develop from here.

Great video as always, my man! I need to practice more on faces myself! They've always intimidated me!

A good idea for putting the eyes in is to put a dot of colour (green blue brown whatever) and then a dot of black, only a dot! And paint the eyes facing you so you can line them up easily, less is more when it comes to eyes and make sure the paint is thin but not watery, you want the paint to be thick enough to drop exactly where you want it and not stray at all and you dont need much on your brush at all!

For Caucasians, i undercoat white then apply Reikland Fleshshade. Once it dries i apply another layer and keep doing so until the desired skintone is reached

Looks great! Ironically I think I would ruin my own eyes by trying paint eyes. Great job.

I don't think that 000 brush is doing you any favours...

I have to say, I bloody hate painting eyes. It was only in retrospect I realised that my devastators have 3 of 5 unhelmeted. Argh!

So much detail and attention for something so small... >gulp!< You're filling me with confidence... Not! Lol I'm going to try and tackle painting again soon-ish, but this month is full of visitors and work :-(

For a bit of input, would be nice to see you more kinda introduce what your doing at the start of the vid's. (As in you on camera staying what you are covering). Makes it almost more on a personal level. Besides that rubbish, great vid as always man ! I do eyes first myself man, I find it is the easiest way to tidy up mistakes before going on to the later stages. Nothing worse than spending ages to paint a face up nicely then mess it all up doing the eyes. Lol
