This is part of the reason I don't complain why my husband does things like this. I know I do them too. It takes two seconds to toss the empty bottle, another two seconds to put the laundry in the hamper, and maybe four seconds to wipe down the sink with a piece of TP.

Give your partner some grace and just do the task instead of berating him for not doing it.

True, I went on strike for an entire weekend when told I do nothing. Funds weren't transferred so her card was declined at the supermarket, the car window was half open all night and her seat was wet from rain, batteries ran out on her flashing things she takes to zumba, the dishwasher drawer jammed and she couldn't get dishes out. Loads of other little things that get sorted without anyone realising there could be a problem.

My wife will point out and complain about me leaving dishes in the sink, but when she does it I just put them in the dishwasher and don't make a fuss. One time I was about to start cooking dinner and the sink was full of her dishes getting in my way, and I got a bit annoyed, and she actually tried to uno reverse me and said "well why can't you just clean it?" as if she was mad at me for not doing her dishes.

I love TheBlondeBrewer. They are funny, but this video REALLY makes a very good point. All too often, one person (and yes, it is usually the wife) gets upset at something.. when the husband has something far more justified to be upset about.

I got out of a relationship that double standards were not just towards me, a man, but towards nearly everyone else, including women. It was ok for her to do or be that way, but not for others. When I realized, I ran, quietly, but fast.

I used to gripe about hubby not pushing his chair in, also just put his dishes in the sink and not the dishwasher.... then God got hold of my heart... he goes to work everyday to provide for me, and I just stay home.... I can support him by picking up his slack that really doesn't matter!! I love him more than little pet peaves... he is my hero now!❤

My ex was like this. Blind to her own shit, but always the first to criticise. I just gave up and moved on. Ever so often she writes and asks if I do not miss her at all...? 😂

When I came home late from work, I would prepare a simple meal for myself and eat it at the dinner table. Because there was no one else at the table, I would watch something on my phone. She would always curse me and make me put away my phone, then leave...

She could always have her phone at the table, even when she was not alone. I pointed this out to her and she flipped out. Also, she would 80% of the time prepare a meal and eat it in bed... with her phone to watch something.

Having double standards make me immediately hate you. I am not exaggerating. I hate people with double standards.
