I personally feel like this remix has a feeling of wistful longing and nostalgia to it.

I’m imagining a closing shot of a character rolling through his childhood neighborhood seeing kids playing and people living their lives. (Maybe we’ve seen these places earlier in the story) They see the faces of lost friends and family in these people doing mundane tasks. They wish that they could be there among them, but know they have to keep pushing on. Though their family and friends are gone, life continues and the character drives off. The end credits roll over the car disappearing into the distance.
