I was so confused with COPD exacerbation and emphysema( J44.1, J43.9) but now it helps with this info video! OMG! I hope she does ones on the SPinal Surgery and Cardiology surgical coding and procedures to refresh myself on coding. Thanks!

Thank you Claire. I have a quesrion. Alphabetic index directs the coders to J44.9 when we go by disease...lunh ..obstrictive with asthma. Should we code J44.9 or J44.89

Hi Claire, Can you suggest which ICD code would be appropriate for Asthma-COPD Overlap Syndrome??? Either J44.9 or J44.89.
