Fun fact! Originally in the comics Rocket WAS NOT expiramented on! The real story is that he used to be a guard at some kind of a a space asylum (I don't rly remember it that well) and the one who was in charge there thought anthropomorphic animals will calm the people who stayed there! Tho, I prefer the MCU version.
