Five Nights At Freddy's 1 - How to Keep Freddy Fazbear out of the Office

The time it takes for Freddy to kill you once he enters the office is random. There's a 25% chance (0.25, in other words) that Freddy will kill you every second. Knowing this, you can calculate the probability that he'll kill you in any amount of time that you want.

Let's say we want to know how likely it is that Freddy will kill us in 5 seconds. Doing the math with the appropriate formula (which would be the geometric distribution formula for you statistics nerds), you get 0.75 * 0.75 * 0.75 * 0.75 * 0.25 = 7.9102% rounded to four decimal places. This is not a very likely outcome.

If you want to know what the AVERAGE time is that it takes for Freddy to kill you, you get 1/0.25 = 4 seconds (the expected value). So, Freddy on average will kill players in 4 seconds.

Remember that these are just probabilities. They are not definite. It's possible to last longer than 4 seconds. In fact, theoretically, Freddy could just never attack you if you're insanely lucky.

Still, Freddy generally kills players very quickly. Beyond 4 seconds, you're not likely to survive.

As for the time it takes for Freddy to kill you when the power is out, that's a lot more complicated to explain. Basically, he can kill you anywhere from 10-60 seconds. Again, "playing dead" (i.e. not moving the mouse or cursor) will NOT make him take longer to kill you.

I've known this game since it released and never knew Freddy couldn't pull your monitor OR he cant move at all if the camera is set to 4B

Alright, so basically the best strat for later nights would be look at only foxy until freddy comes out, and then whenever freddy moves start checking 4b until he is there and then close the door and switch to foxy cam and basically alternate between those two? What I am asking is should I be worried about Freddy on different cams or should I just only peep 4b

if the other animatronics cant come in while freddys already in the office, and if freddy cant pull the monitor down, then couldnt u just intentionally let freddy in and just keep the monitor up until the night ends
