In this video, I walk through The Uncensored Library, which is a Minecraft virtual library which houses the articles of censored and persecuted journalists from around the world. Reporters Without Borders and BlockWorks set up the library in order to offer a platform for free press and information access where there is censorship.

If the people who were killed or imprisoned long ago could see this...they'd weep. The fact that their efforts did not go unnoticed and the torch was carried is one of the greatest innovations of the 21st Century. Only wish it could've been preserved indefinitely

I feel like this showcases one of the best sides of humanity since the people who made this were never under any obligation to do so but still spent countless hours making this and allowing people to access more information worldwide

The reason why Egypt and Saudi-Arabia halls have audio books in arabic is because of the arabic language being impossible to be written in Minecraft. The books in English won't be made into audiobooks, because there is no reason to. The arabic books have no other option.

I have never in my life understood minecraft, but the fact that's I heard about this I'm thinking I might join. Why would they build something so massive and beautiful for one year only?

I saw a post about this on instagram and its crazy how beautiful the map is but also the way important information is put there so younger people can actually go like "oh cool map i wanna see what it is " and then get information about the world, about how politics work in different countries etc for instance here in spain some people still support fascism and there's tension between people wanting more freedom and people saying that we have all the freedom now and that we should focus in other stuff, but in uruguay people can easily get killed while being mugged and people die getting high sniffing glue, so government made weed legal. Like there's a lot of shit people dont know about the world and this is a cool way of getting to know more.
