Well said Donovan! The 4X100 relay is not just individual speed. It is team speed along with team baton transfer skills!

A relay is not just about speed. It is about the coordination, teamwork, harmony, and execution. Even a slight wrong move of passing the baton can impede and derail the race.
But team Canada delivered it all smoothly in harmony plus their unbelievable speed in the field. Well done! Congratulations Andre, Brodney, Jerome, Aaron, and coach Genroy! Love from Toronto.

Donovan was diplomatic and too generous to Lyles. Confidence is needed, yes, but not arrogance. Just look at De Grasse and Tebogo - no need to show, just go.

I also question that Lyles has Covid. It sure didn’t look like it when he leapt and pranced out of the gate. Canada and the world, take note: nose to the grind-stone and show your mettle through the work.

And team Canada! 1996 was HUGE inspiration and now we have another. What a race — so beautiful. Millions inspired. I’m out sprinting with my dog every day, and let’s see the next generation of sprinters keep up the golden legacy.

Donovan was always the man to shut up all the american big loudmouths in the 90s, just like Ben did before and later Bolt.

It's great that Noah has bravado, but it's too much and arrogant. You don't celebrate before you win. You don't give your opponents fuel to feed from. You don't disrespect those who work just as hard as you. Usain Bolt was the most dominant runner of all time, yet he was never like this.

Damn, I was thinking very briefly yesterday that I’ll probably never see Canada win the 4x100m at the Olympics.

And when was the last time someone won this race at the Olympics while running the outest lane.
