Thank you for the examples!

Is this the same root as the 'plaît' in the expression - 's'il vous plaît'?

May I ask a question? I recently heard about a French film named 'Elle l'adore', which I know to mean 'She adores him' due to the plot of the movie. However, without any context, is it impossible to know if 'elle l'adore' means 'she adores him' or she adores her'? This is because I think both phrases translate to 'elle l'adore'. It is a contraction of both 'elle le adore' and 'elle la adore'.

"Plaire"/"plaisir" are cognates with "piacere" in Italian, both being counterparts with "gustar"/"gusto" in Spanish, only that using "plaire" in French in place of "aimer" seems a little bit less casual than the use of "piacere" in Italian or "gustar" in Spanish.

Ma'am, how to get the construction of sentences

Why was it “ses fleurs m’ont fait très plaisir” and not “ses fleurs m’ont font très plaisir”.

Bjr.
"Cela me ferait plaisir que tu viennes." Au lieu d'utiliser le subjonctif est-ce que je peux dire: Cela me ferait plaisir si tu venais. Le subjonctif ne me plaît pas. mdr.
