Romee, I will tell you my stories when I worked as an RN on Peds Ped ICU and down in the ER. I also took call for the hospital as a staff chaplain. I’ve nursed a lot of kids, adults in regular days and when our city had two tornadoes that flattened the earth and tossed cars a mile away. One particular tornado one was on the ground for 10 miles. I was also working when an Abortion Clinic was bombed across the street from the hospital. This is what I observed. Patients who carried on with their lives, like being a grandmother, a doctor or a sixth grader survived and were more likely to live than those patients who just stopped, they were alive but not really living, if that makes sense? We all need time to heal, recover and get better, but don’t stop what you’re doing. That is one thing I have always admired about you. God can dream a bigger dream than you can. Finish school, go out on dates and have fun with family and friends. Congratulations on all your accomplishments.

You have to give yourself more credit, you are helping a lot of people. I was diagnosed with MS in March and am studying for my medical license board exams and I have found your channel very helpful for dealing with the ups and downs of the unknowns and my disease is nothing compared to what you are coping with. What you have done and are still doing is incredible and something to be proud of.

My daughter broke her tibial plateau in February, and had to stay in bed for weeks. She couldn’t do anything for herself while trying to finish up her thesis. It was a heroic effort on her part, as it has been for you. I can absolutely relate to the pride your mom is feeling! I am in awe of the effort the both of you have put into this.

You are an inspiration! You passed your thesis despite battling awful cancer and being on numerous cancer medications and hormones. You are an amazing woman. I'm so glad you didn't give up school.
