This is £120 Inc our extortionate 20% sales tax. That's unbelievable value. I have this watch and love it. This and the mechanical chronograph of the same design they do are two of My favourite watches I have.
I have recently found the channel and really enjoy the content.

A really informative review, well delivered! San Martin does make great watches and they are just priced so well.
I agree that the sterile case back could be improved.

The first version of this watch had capped hands and a great embossed caseback. I think it’s close to 200grams as well. If you ever get a chance to see one, you will be even more impressed.
Awesome quality, it had no right being this good for the price.

Unlike some comments, I see absolutely nothing to be gained from SM having a so-called in-house movement. I have countless watches with Seiko movements like the NH34, and they're very reliable, cheap to repair or replace, and in my experience, accurate to within a second or two per day, equal to many, much more expensive movements. San Martin put the money where it matters, into high quality materials and quite outstanding finishing - the things that matter. The whole in-house thing is just pointless in this price range, making watches far more expensive than otherwise necessary. Unless you're into 'high horology' (and stratospheric prices), it is just not worth the bother.

Nice video! SM is the best kept secret in the watch game. Mainly because the watch world turns a blind eye to China. If I were an entry-level Swiss brand (MIdo, Rado, Certina) I would be worried about the trajectory of SM.

Does the bezel line up? It looks way off, maybe it’s just perspective…

simple fact is most watches, even the almighty Rolex, are primairly machine made. if you can master the mass produced machine process, you're in business and Japan, China, and Korea have all proven to to be champions of quality and efficiency on the assembly line; so we should not be surprised by the rise of San Martin. and they are a welcome addition to the watch scene. thanks for the video.

I've said for a while SM is a serious movement away from being a Swiss killer. Partner with Seagull for a bespoke st2130, ala ETA elabore' grade, just can't be a real contender with any NH. I will say I have the chronograph version of this watch w the st1901 and it's amazing and not a straight rip of anything as Seiko never made a 62mas chrono.
