We dedicate this song to all the mothers who have passed on words of wisdom to their children, knowing that Paul McCartney, who wrote this song son with John Lennon, lost his own mother, Mary, when she was only 47 years old.

We can only imagine what an inspiration Mary has been for Paul, even though she has passed on from this life. And that is the power of a mother.

ABOUT US:

Jasmine is a mom of 8 (7 boys and 1 girl) and has been involved with music her whole life, as a soloist, choral director, and vocal coach. She paused her music endeavors for several years but finally convinced one of her kids to “take their show on the road (the internet?🧐)” when Ian agreed to start a YouTube channel with her (he didn’t realize until later that it wasn’t a gaming channel, but oh, well🤣)! She was a little worried about the fact that Ian’s voice would be changing in the next couple of years and it could cramp their style, but figured he had three little brothers to take his place when the moment arises! 😆😂 Until then, he is a good sport going to recording sessions and putting up with music video filming and keeping that awesome smile on his face all the while!😁

Ian is a very musical 11 year-old and has been singing for different audiences ever since he snuck on stage to sing with his older siblings’ children’s choir at age 3! He has been in a few different performing groups, most recently as a member of Rise Up Children’s Choir under the direction of Scott Shattuck. He plays piano, Fortnite 😂, and is learning the ukulele and the guitar.

Truly wholesome. It's so heartwarming to see such beautiful and talented families sharing their amazing voices on Youtube, especially in the times we're living. It's a balm to all the horrors we hear about or witness.

This reminded me when I first heard it on its release in 1970 as a ten-year-old. Watching a video so many decades afterwards with a lovely mom and son duet had a strange mix of flashback and fast- forward effect, as if past and present got blurred by memories and the emotions they evoked, the present feeling like a future foreseen from way back in that long gone era.
