Song & Tap Dance 1944 (Ann Miller)

From the movie: JAM SESSION 1944
Ann Miller sings and dances in this WWII era flag waver number. I think it could be argued that Ann Miller was the best all-around song and dance girl in Hollywood history. Very few of the best female dancers were good singers. In some cases like Rita Hayworth they couldn't sing at all. And as a dancer she had few if any equals. Just for fun get a bunch of tap dance fans together and ask who was the best female tap dancer ever Ann Miller or Eleanor Powell and watch as everybody as they say here in the Boston area "go ballistic".

Ration books are really souvenirs these days! But I reckon they'll make a comeback soon

Ah, Yes! Back in the day when Hollywood movies weren’t revolved around sex and foul language. Most people say that the reason sex is in movies is because it is “a vital part of our lives.” Yeah, we know, but we really don’t need much emphasis on the subject. Seems to me Hollywood was doing just fine with these types of classical musicals. What bothers me the most about sex in films is when the characters do it especially for their own pleasure.

This is a great film - I only caught it once on TCM many years ago, and I've been searching for a high-quality version ever since. If you don't mind my asking, can you provide a source for this high-quality copy? Thank you!
