Siddaramaiah's Tweet On Karnataka Job Quota: 'Bill Approved For Reservation For Kannadigas' | WATCH

Amid the raging debate over the quota for locals in Karnataka, chief minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday deleted his post on 'X' in which he confirmed the cabinet's approval of the bill, making it mandatory to recruit '100 per cent' Kannadigas for 'C and D' grade posts in all private institutions within the state. However, he later posted a fresh tweet saying, "The cabinet meeting held on Monday approved the bill to fix 50% reservation for administrative posts and 75% for non-administrative posts for Kannadigas in private industries and other organizations of the state." Good move from Karnataka govt, now most of kanadigas in forigne will come back to mother land and as everyone knows, kanadigas are very skilled, well spoken, south indians are one of the best english speaking folks in india . Besides you know once people have the opportunity unskilled people will definitely become skilled .

Ideally, there should be a better bill to take care of local and non local talent. Reservation now on local can be further exercised based on religion/ caste. This is not at all good bill.

Indeed its a right decision by Karnataka Govt. at this juncture. Locals are suffering a lot without jobs after losing our land, water, and our air pollution traffic whatever even our peace.

I support modi, but this bill siddharamaya had taken good decision. I support this bill not because we hate other working here from other state, they are welcome but in karnataka we kannadigas are not given importance and simply recruting. I worked in HP and have seen most of the employee working there are from TN, even Training manager who prefer tamil and northis, this should not be allowed in karnataka

In maharashtra the sivasena party was started for this purpose only but could not sustain with this sort of local ideas.
