Today we take the SLI Performance Package version of the Vesta 3050 for a test run. This one is a few hundred dollars more expensive, but it comes with a Core i5 760 quad core, a second GTX 460 graphics card, a higher wattage power supply, and a 1.5TB hard drive.

There's a store in Markham, ON that built my latest PC back in February. If NCIX had a nearby location *at the time*, I might have gone there.

What I like about the place I went to is that they do all the work for you, for free. No labour or assembly charges, and component prices were equal or lower than Newegg.

They build it for you, test every component extensively, configure all the BIOS stuff so that all you have to do is install the OS... all with a respectable 18 month labour warranty.

You guys actually have amazing deals on computer hardware. I looked up your prices online for hardware specs im planning to use and my build and you guys came up cheaper 9/10 of the time, even cheaper than ebay. Im glad i stumbled upon your guy's videos, it's gonna be a great help since im a first time builder.

@blingkid00 You cannot build this PC for this price at CC. Period.

Please PM me the links to buy this system from CC (assembled with 1 year warranty) for less than $1199 and I will wire you $100 from my personal bank account.

Oh and using a $20 Enlight case + PSU does not count... You need a quality PSU and similar priced case in order to qualify.

I guess I'd better put a time limit on it. You've got 1 day.

I went to the NCIX website and customized my own PC and the total came out to: Your System Total
$7053 CAD

@Pucker7
The GTX 460s in SLi are just shy in matching a 5970 in performance. Strangely enough, even though a 5830 is more powerful than the 460 (single card), 460s in SLi clearly beat 5830s in Crossfire.

@LinusTechTips Theres a flaw to this you see. NCIX has this awesome service called price match, so what ever you try on any other website, no mater how good the deal, will be matched on NCIX via this Price match tool.

This is generally why i always recommend NCIX over other competitors (ex. Newegg, Tiger Direct, Canadian Computer, direct Canada)

Wow the price on this PC is astonishing. I looked up how much 1200$ (Canadian) is in my home currency and i totally got blewn away. Less than 8500 Swedish Crowns for a i5 quad-core 760 and GTX 460 in sli with windows included?! Do you ship to Sweden? ;>

@killerex010 i agree with everything but the 5970 statement because a gtx460 is equal to the power of a 5830 (if you get the 1gb model) and since the 5970 is a dual gpu 5850 it is obviously more powerful then 2 5830's in sli therefore more powerful then the gtx460 in sli.

@tonifas1

crossfire is for ATI cards, not for nVidia SLI !!

@tonifas1 no you can´t because the motherboard isn´t sli ready. For SLI ready you need an extra chip on your motherboard

Hi Linus, good points made on the CPU vs. GPU choices. Keep up the good work!

@nflavour You're better getting a 480 because 2x 460 would avoid you from upgrading. With a 480 you can throw another one in later on or even two other which you'd be better than 2x 460.

This video helped me a lot on what I want when I build my own PC. I didn't think crysis could run at 40 FPS on only 1100 dollars worth of parts. lol I'm still a noob to PC gaming.

@varium you'd be very lucky to be able to do that, considering an I5 760 and 2 GTX 460's is at least $600, probably more.

You know, that case alone is 110$. Granted on an NCIX build they'll eat a bit of their margin on the parts to come up at that price point. That said, for $900 and $1200 respectively you get the kind of PC I'd have built myself. Oh, and I think I'll be snagging one of those Define R3 cases, I really like that design.

@orkie55 not trying to 'fool' anyone, just trying to get an answer as to how that could be possible. must have been the cpu then, i'll run it again and post the result...

Silence is good, but cooling will always be more important. I rather put up with noise and have long life parts, than silent and it over heating one day.

@dyslecix Sorry bro? I'm not your bro. One GTX 460 gets only 5FPS more than my 5770 on everything max. Like I said before, in case you can't read English "He's using two GTX 460's and only getting 10FPS more than my one 5770."
