A new law makes California workers once again eligible to collect an additional two weeks of paid leave if they are affected by COVID. Gov. Newsom signed legislation that lets people collect the pay if they are infected, have to care for a family member who is infected or need to recover from a vaccination. The pay is retroactive to January 1.

Don’t worry… those of us paying parking tickets in SF will cover the workers in government… it’s totally cool… n Sacramento doesn’t have to see disconnect from the reality of working class… we will cover it

Why didn’t they make it retroactive to when it expired in 9/2021?

Maybe they can do this for other transmissible diseases like cold and flu. Usually when a sick person comes to work sick, they end up making the whole office sick...

That's all great but my employer at Dollar Tree refuses to pay me the covid pay, which I am entitled to and is keeping me out 16 days which is illegal because if you're showing symptoms, the CDC says you only have to quarantine for 10. So now I have to get a lawyer and now I have to file a lawsuit

Question on why? New virus coming or new fear mongering?
