This happens when you have your project organized in a folder structure, and you are not working at the top level. It is an easy fix, if you know what to fix.

As of Pycharm in 2024 I solved the issue by MARKING the folder as a SOURCE folder (same setting page as in video), it then displayed as blue in project files

I had this error as well this video helped. I had something else set as my content root I had to remove mine and then my local imports worked

I have BDD framework with Python in Pycharm but steps in feature file doesn't mapping/ I am not able to click on that and see actual implementation. Once I hover over on steps in feature file it says 'Undefined step reference'. But steps implemented and works fine. Anyone can help? Thanks
