It's clearly a combination of skill and luck. It was pure skills to handle the ball around his back and hit the shot. However, around the back passing cleanly through Thompsons legs was unintentional, (admitted by Lebron) so obviously it was lucky it didnt get kicked. Only players with mindblowing handles like Curry or Kyrie execute crazy moves like that intentionally.
