After all these years it's still in my eyes one of the classic albums of the 80s, possibly one of the best albums of the 80s, ULTRAVOX! one of my favourite bands of the 80s,

Totally eccentrically sung as if from a straitjacket in a madhouse to the open window secured with escape-proof steel bars ;) and in addition the ice-cold, lifeless sound of the synthesizers, all lifeless, as if without a filter, musical instruments sold specifically to this sad band with filters removed prior to sale :) and then on top of that, it's an all are cruelly gray on gray composition without the missing spark, depressive and worthless crazy without any reason. Sound without music. Nothing for my soul.

Even though the album Vienna (1980) by the newly formed Ultravox is a good album, but for me Ultravox was much better with founding member and frontman John Foxx, and guitarist Robin Simon who replaced original guitarist Stevie Shears who was also a very good guitarist. I saw Ultravox in March of 1979 at the Whiskey A Go-Go in West Hollywood, CA. with John Foxx and Robin Simon. I was 23 at that time.
