Thanks. Purchased a waterproof lighted switch just now after watching for my 06 rancher 350. Just finishing a top end freshening up and I want the engine running cooler than Honda sets that switch temp at to activate.

Damn, that's a pretty 4-wheeler. Looks like the 80s

My thoughts are put a new sensor in, then y in the wire beside the sensor to button then to the fan, giving your ground to the fan, bypassing the fan relay, as i assume the the live wire is giving power to the fan all the time, if not run a y to the fan postive feed, just incase its a broken wire or faulty fan relay, the ecu will still get its feed, as the relays are expensive. Just turn on the button when you start, Just a thought.

It would've been cool to see how you did the wiring and crimping

is there something wrong with not just getting the replacement sending heat switch thing for these or are they a rip off in price?

I literally just got done taking skid pan off my 98 foreman 450 fan hasn't been working took wire off that sensor u showed and put into one of skid platebolt holes with electrical tape then duct tape put skid plate on minus 1 bolt and works so far bit wish i would seen ur video first looks good temporary to i get a new sensor cuz i thought my x smoked the engine riding our grandson around real slow then stopped and picked flowers and left engine running after i told her fan wasn't working then she says it has no power and wont run let cool for 6 hrs starting running again but definitely doesn't seem to have the power like it did question will it hurt to run it with fan continously on until i get a new sensor which might be a month or 2 especially with all hot summer slow rides my grandson all he wants to do is ride on quad from morning till night x and me take turns all day riding him lol

I did this hack but the oil temp light is always on while the fan is running, is that expected? I'm worried that if I ever have an overheating issue ( I'm going to replace the original oil temp sensor) I will never know since the light will be always on. Thanks.

Also are there any cheap nice fans for these that are more energy efficient and more performance? The OG fans are from 1985 from my understanding and you think a newer fan cheap but better these days?

And if this doesn’t work is it safe to say that the control module or fan is bad ?

Hey, do you still own the M4? How is it going with it? Given you any trouble?
