Hope you like this one, it's hopefully a space saver and cash saver particularly if you have a few scopes you'd like masks for!

Current model fits from 43mm OD to 247mm OD - roughly equal to smaller than a 50mm guide scope, to larger than an 8" newt or sct, and everything in between!

This is such a COOL design Luke!! I no longer need to print a separate mask for every single scope I want to test! Also, you should patent this design!

I think I will be buying one - saves taking multiple masks outside for the different size scopes - nice one Luke.

Brilliant! When I see a design like this, it’s so logical and simple it’s just baffling how nobody has thought of it before. Well done 👍

Excellent idea Luke 👍 Looks like an awesome bit of kit! I would be buying one, but thanks to your previous masks that I’ve bough, I’ve got masks for all my current scopes😀

Marvellous. I made one simular with aluminium on a cnc machine. But once you drop it, your stuffed. So gave up as I don't have a 3D printer. Great move Luke glad you've succeeded. Plus the amount of scopes your running through, you need this divice. 😂 well done.

Brilliant idea Luke! One question I have though...is why no one had thought of this before!? I'll be ordering one soon! Thanks as always for the ace content Luke!

Regarding the weather...my goodness Luke it's been atrocious here in UK, hasn't it! I've had just 2 clear nights THIS YEAR!! 😭😂 ( it definitely does make those rare clear nights all that more special though! )

Love it mate! I've printed and tested a few. My concern with the adjustable knobs is if the center of the mask isn't dead center, then focous wouldn't be spot on due to the center of the axis not aligned with the center of the mirrors. Maybe notches semetrical along the slits would resolve this I think. I've been printing mine to size. PLA or PETG works well and yes doesn't shatter when dropped like the orion ones lol.... it fluttered down 3 stories to it's demmise.

Brilliant idea! Would it be possible perhaps to purchase the STL file for the same price instead?

Looks really nice.
Two things.
I recently purchased a Sky-Watcher Dobsonian SynScan. Not really for imaging, but might try "luckyimaging" of planets. The diameter is maybe 12 inches. So may be handy if you make larger ones.
On the other extreme, I do widefild with 14, 35, 50, 135 mm etc. Probably not fine enough for these short FL?
