I had my first encounter with Jesus Christ at army boot camp on the first week there on the first Sunday at chapel. I didn't know who I was I was running from an abusive dark childhood and the only option was the military. I went to chapel to get away from detail I was so lost I was standing there and the song about giving your life to the pottetshands played. I started crying time just stood still was indescribable tears flowing I relieved I was on my knees and it must've been quite a situation for the two recruits beside me. I don't remember much after that other than my emptyness was gone I felt I was loved and protected for the first time in my life. I ended up being highest pt in my battalion and by the time I got to ait I leading bible study in the hallway before lights out though I had no idea what I was doing but just felt so lead to do it. I fell from the Lord after that for a while because I let bad people and life habits back in and it got bad but now many years later I'm married with 8 beautiful kids and with my oldest son in week 3 of navy boot camp I'm reminded Jesus is there and when he's all you have he's all you need.

In my younger days, I wanted to join the Air Force. .. very PRO Air Force!
A few years later, I became an Army Wife. I am PRO Army to this day.
These boys...these Christ-worshiping Marines, well they make me PRO Marine...win my heart...and make me cry, bursting with pride of them, and I raise my hands high and worship with them. And it seems SO sincere that it feeds my starving soul.
Keep singing, my dear beloved Marines. God keep you safe, and bless you all.
