Most deeply racist people prefer to work with, live with and interact with people of like mind. Those in charge of hiring will probe prospective hires for signs of common political preferences, feelings and racial attitudes similar to their own. Back In the day a proclivity for violence and racist feelings were a requirement and touted openly. They hire their friends, family members and neighbors who they can trust to keep their attitudes on the down low. Still true in many parts of u.s. today, especially in small towns in the deep south. If proper investigations are conducted you will find racist behavior and acts commonplace in hundreds of small towns everywhere. You can just imagine what they are like in the really deep southern states..

Antioch officer Tom Lenderman should be investigated the way he interacts with other officers makes you think he could be a ringleader among these rouge officers. Training won't do a thing if someone's heart is hateful... Half the police department....?

The "overall intelligence level" of our police force is an embarrassment. And when you combine that with a lack of morals, ethics.... I'll never understand why IQ levels are not the FIRST in a long list of testing requirements (like a civil service exam) to even be CONSIDERED for police employment.

I remember in the mid 70's how everyone wanting a "great job" talked about taking the civil service exam, and those of low intelligence need not apply. WHY IN THE WORLD are people who are given so much power and a GUN not required to prove themselves BEFORE BEFORE BEFORE they are given that ridiculous, it's unfathomable....
